But the fact that the Chinese are thinking along these lines shows how much they are willing to invest in Pakistan as there okinawa.

This highlights the limitations of the contemporary, Indian foreign policy management as a dependent function of the US foreign policy constant.

When the Indian leftists went against US they did so for spurious reasons. When the rightists advocated building up Indian power they did so knowing the only way to keep China out of our backyard. Now with the Confused Indian political leadership that keeps vaccilating between Center-right and Center-left we are rather likely to be stuck with both a defensive foreign policy and an investment cycle that is always miles behind the learning curve.

BTW.....Charbahar?Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11229539037507461254noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4704148890264843595.post-60089419410502581562010-09-19T07:47:17.091-07:002010-09-19T07:47:17.091-07:00o Fu Lai Zhuang wrote:

Easy as it ! It's time to be tough and forceful to JP, George Soros just alleged in a Sep.15 Reuters interview that China is the real NO.1st economic body in the world , prove he is right , China , don't put your people down like they do to the banana Quing dynasty . The Nationalism spirit can boost 1.3billion people's potentiality to forge into a stronger patriotism for sure .

Sir, these are the few comments which I came across in WSJ. I am trying to find out the responses from Japanese media & Japanese people. But there seems to be no response to this incident from them. It doesn’t seem to be much of a serious issue to them

Chinese people’s emotions are already running very high at this moment. If Chinese govt wanted it could have very easily hide the news of this incident through its state controlled media. (Like few months ago when one of its ships was highjacked by Somalian Pirates, it allegedly gave money & rescued it. The only news that was in the Chinese media was that (as you mentioned in one of your comments) that ‘the Ship is rescued’. In the normal condition ordinary Chinese people don’t even know what’s happening outside their province, leave alone the outside world. Hiding this news from ordinary Chinese people was an easy task for CPC. Why didn’t they do that? Are they deliberately fanning the patriotic emotions of ordinary Chinese masses? They have many reasons to do this.

1) Fanning the Patriotic sentiments in ordinary Chinese people & try to unite them behind CPC who otherwise are fed up with their rule. Just keep water boiling.

2) Situation is already messy inside China. Biggest battle for Pres. Hu is just round the corner. There is no way he can escape it. To day or tomorrow US is going to twist his arm & force him to evaluate Yuan. This is another very sentimental issue which is very close to Chinese people. They can’t see their Country bowing to US. Is it that Hu is indirectly telling US that ‘Sorry guys, People’s emotions are very high right now, & there is little that I can do in case of Yuan right now?’

3) Or is it that it’s a trick to divert Chinese people’s attention from inside problems & as Bharat Verma predicts invite confrontation (as Deng did to consolidate his position) with may be Japan or may be with some other neighbour.ambihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09709973254351931979noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4704148890264843595.post-78951147701575931762010-09-19T00:15:49.013-07:002010-09-19T00:15:49.013-07:00Sir,
I have read that Tajikistan, Afghanistan, In...Sir,

I have read that Tajikistan, Afghanistan, India and Pakistan! have concluded a deal where Tajik gas will flow through these countries into India... Is this true? How do we expect Pakistan to allow transit of this gas to India in current circumstances? Is Pakistan playing with us by feigning support for transit until the deal is signed and then backing off so that only India is left in the lurch? Perhaps it knows that without India, no pipeline deal only upto Pakistan is worth making...so it fools India into being a part of it and then creates security situations where it becomes impossible for India to continue. In the process embarrasing India on the world stage and at the same time getting its own share of profit.

Was the India Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister (or whatever he is called) naive into signing such a treaty or was it a good decision? What are your thoughts?Pareshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14990490653401639607noreply@blogger.com
